As Aliena embarks on a mission to rescue her uncle from Minister Knut’s clutches, Kamal is at a crossroads. If he chooses help the human, the price might well be his own life.
When the Mating Venom unleashes its torment, Kamal has to decide. Will he change his ways and claim Aliena’s heart, or is the life of an outlaw too hard to leave behind?

Character Interview

Here's a character interview on Aliena, the lead character in Venomous Hunger. Read on.
  1. Please tell us about yourself
I’m nothing special, really. I’m just a girl trying to survive in a world where humanity is an endangered species. What’s special is what happened to me, and who happened to help me along the way. I am part of a small group of humans, escaped from the Breeding Facility twenty-three years ago. I don’t remember anything from those days inside the facility, as I was only two years old at the time. All I know is that my mother died to give me a chance at freedom, and that I intend to honor her sacrifice by not only living my life free of oppression, but also do my damn best so that no human has to live in slavery, ever again.
Family is everything to me, and I will do what I must to protect those who depend on me.
  2. Can you tell us a little about your world? Please also tell us about the Eok and alien pirates.
We live a hard life in the wilderness of Earth, with only the weapons and shelter we can make ourselves. It’s not a perfect life, but it’s a better life than the one we had in the Breeding facility. Since our near extinction, over two centuries ago, the few humans that were left on Earth were collected and brought to live in what the Ring calls the Human Preservation Laboratories, where we’re kept like zoo specimens, forced to reproduce and live in captivity. Sometimes, the owner of the facility, Minister Knut, sells a specimen to an extremely rich buyer as an exotic pet. No one except our group has ever escaped the facility.
My first contact with the alien pirates was when I awoke in their medical pod. I was able to knock down one of them and escape, but I was still too weak to make my way back to my people. There I was, free but about to die out there in the snow, all alone. This is when the big blue hunk caught me. I tried my best to escape from Kamal, and from the attraction I felt for him. Because, as we all know, Eoks are the scourge of the Ring. They’re the most brutal, ruthless species of warriors known to the Ring, and probably beyond. They kidnap females from other species and enslave them, as their species produces only male offspring and they need the females of other species to reproduce. Just hearing their names makes most females run away screaming, human or not.
Kamal is as ruthless as Eoks are rumored to be, worst, he’s the captain of a pirate ship. A true outlaw, without conscience or honor. His crew is only a representation of himself, cruel, violent and thinking only of turning the highest profit, no matter the cost to others.
At least, that’s what I thought.
  3. Why were you left for dead by your people? How do you feel about that?
I cannot blame my family for what they did. We were hiding from the aliens who found our village, in caves deep under the surface. I was dying, and Martin thought my only chance at survival was to leave me for the aliens to find. Turns out he was right, and Kamal did save me.
  4. What was your experience in the hands of the alien pirates?
The pirate crew of the Mellark is exactly what you would think a group of cutthroat outlaws could be, for the most part. There are a few people amongst the crew that I grew fond of. Marmack is Kamal’s second in command, and him and his mate, Tailan, fast became my friends.
Apart from them, the crew wants nothing more than to turn out a profit, and as a rare human female, I’m worth a fortune on the black market. It’s only because Kamal took me as bloodmate that I was protected from their greed. It didn’t prevent them from betraying us in the end, but as they found out, having Kamal as an enemy is something one should try to avoid…
  5. What's your personal experience with an Eok? I believe you were captured by one.
Eoks are forces of nature, and Kamal is no exception. He’s tall, muscular, has fangs and retractable talons, making him the perfect predator! He’s also strikingly handsome, with his metallic blue skin, his angular features and a body to die for. He’s all male, all the time, and sometimes, it can be a lot to manage, especially when he has it in his head to protect me.
He’s also caring and kind, in a way that still surprise me. He would never harm a person weaker than him, and puts himself in danger to help those he cares for. He surprised me at every corner by doing the exact opposite of what I expected from a terrible Eok warrior.
  6. If you could turn back time, what would you change?
I wished I didn’t judge Kamal so harshly in the beginning, but as a human female, I had to be wary of those big aliens.

Book Excerpt

“I won’t let anything happen to any of you.” Kamal’s eyes glittered and his grin faded. “That I vow to you.”
His face lost all humor and she was pinned by the intensity of his stare. Her eyes wandered over his exotic, hard features, and she was once again entranced by the pattern of tiny bumps on his skin.
Hesitantly, like she was afraid he wouldn’t allow it, she reached for his cheek. His skin was hot under her fingertips but also smooth, the texture thicker than a human’s, but warm and pleasant. Her fingertips slid along his jaw with its myriad of tiny bumps, their formation so close and forming swirls so intricate, it was almost like a tattoo.
Kamal’s eyes gleamed and his body was unmoving. He was watching her in silence, allowing her to touch and explore.
“What are those?” Aliena asked.
“An Eok earns his warrior status by marking his body. I only stopped to spare my father’s record.”
Understanding came, fast and shocking. Those patterns, intricate and wonderful, were created by blood and blade, through an amount of pain she could not even comprehend. She pulled her hand away but Kamal caught her wrist.
“Such fragility.” He examined her hand under the moonlight. “Such beauty.”
“Let me go.”
Aliena pulled but her hand was a prisoner. Kamal’s eyes locked with hers, and he tugged her closer, forcing her hand to flatten against his cheek again.
“An Eok warrior learns to master pain.” He turned his head slightly and a kiss landed just at the base of her wrist, creating an electric current of arousal down her entire body. “One has to master pain if one wants to conquer pleasure, wouldn’t you agree?”
“I wouldn’t know,” she forced herself to answer, even though her throat was closed and her heart beat like a crazed animal between her ribs. “Pain isn’t one of my pastimes.”
Kamal’s lips stretched in a predatory grin, exposing his fangs, and a hand closed on the small of her back, pulling her closer into his male heat. His breath caressed her lips, his eyes imprisoning her like a blanket of lead.
His mouth closed on hers with purpose. It laid waste to everything she thought she knew, to everything she ever thought she wanted. This kiss was a claim, a brand on her very soul.
Kamal took possession of her mouth, his tongue sliding in and out, rubbing over hers, filling it with his taste, his scent. Her tongue answered, responding automatically. She slid it over the sharp tips of his fangs and a tangy taste tickled her taste buds. A rush of adrenaline and heat spread inside her body and she moaned into his mouth.
Kamal’s hands slid to her ass and he pressed her against his erection, hard and large under his pants. One hand slid to her front, cupping her small breast through the heavy layer of clothing. Unable to resist the sudden surge of lust, Aliena’s hand ran down Kamal’s perfectly muscled chest, then lower, along the flat of his stomach.
She held his erection, squeezing lightly.
Kamal broke the kiss, and locked gazes with her.

Touch of Ice Teaser

Book Excerpt

Snow fell with an unrelenting fury, blanketing the early evening with the smell of things cold and pure. Aldric watched as the air filled with the large snowflakes, lost in his thoughts.
Under his palm, Rhyl’s scales shivered with withheld excitement. The beast wanted to take to the skies at least as much as Aldric did. Soaring in the middle of a snowstorm was the only luxury Aldric awarded himself, the only time he allowed his own personal pleasure to come before his responsibilities as High Lord of Katanie. As long as the flight lasted, there was only the sky, him, Rhyl, and the connection between man and dragon that ran deeper than a cellular level.
Only he always had to come back.
The sound of a door opening made him turn and he stifled a growl of annoyance at the sight of Dalgo. His old friend’s face was set in familiar grim lines, and he walked briskly toward Rhyl and himself. Aldric was tempted to ignore his friend’s presence and fly away on his dragon, but as his gaze locked with Dalgo’s silver eyes, eyes he shared with every Draekon, something in them made him stay. It looked like it could be important enough to postpone his flight.
“Don’t tell me we had another disturbance on the northern border? I thought those thieves had been properly scared away.”
“What I have to tell you has nothing to do with some low-life human thieves.” Dalgo stopped walking and stared straight at Aldric. He never bothered with the proper greetings when they were alone. “But before I tell you, you have to promise to listen to everything I have to say before you make your decision.”
“What is it, then?” Aldric turned to face the large opening in the mountainside that was the dragon’s landing and departing strip. The open sky called to him, and his mood worsened at the knowledge he wouldn’t get to enjoy the freedom of the flight. When Dalgo didn’t answer, he turned back to stare at his friend. Dalgo’s eyes were determined but his mouth was closed. He seemed to be at a loss for words, something that never happened to Aldric’s usually loquacious captain of the guards.
Dalgo took a deep breath, then squared his shoulders.
“She came forward this afternoon at the Human Liaison Office in Helbon.”
“Who?” Aldric frowned, not bothering to hide his irritation. What woman could be worth wasting a perfect snowstorm like this?
“Her. Your match.”
Comprehension dawned and Aldric suddenly wished there were chairs to sit on near the landing strips. A flash of a young woman, laughing and flipping long, dark hair came to his mind. He was surprised at how vivid his memory was, how well he remembered her face. Those large, dark velvet brown eyes, those full lips stretched in an easy smile, that luscious body with a woman’s full curves. He remembered everything about her.
“Endora.” Aldric tasted her name on his lips. He hadn’t allowed himself to speak that name in a decade. “She accepted the offer?”
