She’ll
love him forever . . . but he can’t make her obey . . .
The
war is over. Danger has passed. Cara Kayrs is healed after decades of
illness and ready for a break.
Too
bad her brooding, alpha vampire husband can’t seem to change gears.
In their twenty-five years together Talen Kayrs has learned to sense
every shiver of her body, to ignite her desire with a word or a look.
She would think he could learn she’s not some fragile damsel in
distress.
But
Talen is on edge, watching their backs, treating her like she’s
made of glass. Like there’s something following them, a deadly
threat that somehow none of their intelligence has uncovered. It’s
enough to drive a woman crazy, and Talen has plenty of those
tendencies already.
But
what’s even more maddening is that he seems to be right . . .

You never know who your true friends are until a gun’s pointed at you. One will take a bullet, and the other will pull the trigger. Starr learned that lesson the hard way.
The perfect smile. A killer attitude. General Treadwell wanted nothing more than to turn Starr Bishop into the ideal assassin, but she’s far more valuable as Jessica Chamberlain, granddaughter and heir to Chamberlain Chocolates. Luckily, he’s found two enthusiastic replacements. They lack Starr’s intelligence, but no matter, they possess their own weapons of persuasion along with a flair for the dramatic, and that’s never a bad thing.
Di, along with Christian, Frank, Ben and Coda, are determined to keep Starr safe, but the depths of betrayal crack the very foundation of the team. When Starr becomes a pawn in a game of power, money, and manipulation, Di channels her WWSD (What Would Starr Do) to rally the team. She owes her best friend that much. No... More.
"I love this book so much and this series just won't stop getting better and better!" - Meggan Turner, Goodreads Reviewer
While we say our goodbyes to Coda and Ben, Jude borrows Christian’s phone to order the pizza. “Great, thanks,” I hear him say. “It’ll be ready in about a half an hour. It takes about fifteen to get there. Hey Christian, want to go for a ride to pick it up?”
Christian pushes up from the floor. “Sure.”
At the sound of his voice, my heart races. “I don’t think you should go.”
“Starr, it’s just pizza.”
I reach for his hands and pull him down next to me. “Forget the pizza.”
He leans in and whispers, “Starr, it’s just pizza and besides, we don’t want to leave Jude alone and I’m not sending Di in my place.”
I glance over at Di.
No, she’s been through too much. Much too much. My stomach twists in knots. “I’ll make it up to you later,” he promises.
“Please don’t go,” I whisper and throw my arms around him. I find his lips with a wild desire never to let him go. I know it’s silly. He’s just going for pizza, but the way my life’s been rolling lately, I’m not taking any chances.
“Come on,” Jude says with a laugh in his voice. Dissimilar from his usual annoyed reaction. It only makes me more nervous. “Pizza awaits.”
Christian struggles to pull away, but I don’t want to let him go. Not yet. “I love you,” I blurt out.
He smiles at me. “I love you too. I’ll be right back.”
Tears well up in my eyes as I watch his disappearing back.
“Starr, are you alright?” Di asks.
“Yeah, I guess. No, not really. I’m feeling a little paranoid.”
“Let’s watch a show—something mushy and icky the guys would never want to watch, and no news,” she warns pointing the remote in my direction.
“No news,” I concede.
Before Di can change the channel, a newsflash comes up. “We’d like to interrupt your regularly scheduled viewing for a brief announcement:…

Kim Briggs once smashed into a tree while skiing. The accident led to a concussion, a cracked sternum, temporary notoriety as a sixth grader returned from the dead, and the realization that fictionalized accounts are way more interesting than just slipping on the ice.
An unhealthy obsession with conspiracy theories combined with a love of travel and happily ever afters led Kim to write her YA novel, Starr Fall, where a secret organization decides 17-year-old Starr Bishop is not only the model student, but the ideal assassin. While in hiding, Starr meets dark, moody, and dead sexy Christian Evergood. Cue the swoon worthy music. But it’s not all happily ever afters for Kim. Her NA novel, And Then He, explores the dark and scary corners of the human psyche. Following a night of innocent flirting with a handsome stranger, Tiffani finds herself in the midst of a nightmare she can’t escape. And Then He is available through Amazon and other major book retailers. Starr Fall released November 2016 with Inkspell Publishing, followed by Starr Lost in January 2017 and Starr Gone in June 2017. Her novella, Avalanche is part of the Valentine Kisses Anthology and released February 14, 2017.
When she’s not doing something writerly, Kim can be found jumping into snowdrifts with her three kids, husband, and dog. She’s careful to avoid trees.

"Seducing Sensei is a very erotic novel, so be mentally prepared before reading it. It is based on a gay theme but the presentation leans towards light-hearted. The story is unique, sexy, humorous and naughty. Worth reading at least once." - Sheryl, Amazon Reviewer

My little troublemaker owned the space when he walked in. One might have mistaken him for a Japanese prince of some small unknown province. Only royalty of a tiny country would have that much self-admiration. Don’t hurt yourself squeezing your ego in the room.
Standing with feet firmly placed as if he were on the first place winner’s podium stand, Itsuma’s energy exuded confidence. I glanced at him with what I hoped was my best disparaging look.
Behind him Scott Cooper twirled a wrangler’s rope with expert precision. The loop circled Scott in meticulous up and down motions. He danced a cowboy’s jig with the rope as if he’d been born to raise cattle. With those boots, jeans, button shirt and cowboy hat he should be on the back of a horse.
The kid looked at me with those beautiful green eyes, effortlessly continuing his rope hopscotch. Those eyes weren’t those of a child’s, but of a man who’d seen a lifetime of evil and decided he was here to save everyone. It was heart shattering to look into his soul, and yet, Scott instilled hope in my heart. Like a survivor, he threw off an air that people could overcome the worst of times. As if he were living proof.
In contrast, Itsuma’s inflated ego and Cheshire smile set off all my warning bells. I wasn’t afraid. Inwardly, I was reprimanding the chubby that sprang as soon as the duo stepped across the threshold of my classroom. I’d waited way too long to find a partner. Maybe after this I’d go to the bar to relax. Find someone to help keep my head on around this jail-bait of mine. That was it…I just needed to let out this frustration.
The sound of his mirth tickled my heart. Craptastic. Now I knew why this “prince” slipped under my skin as easy as getting under a bedspread. Intense attraction. Yep, definitely going to the bar tonight.
I stood, pulled out my drawer of no-no’s and set out Itsuma’s iPod on my desk. Then I placed the two pieces of his headphones next to the small chunk of metal.
“If I take this again,” I said. “You’re not getting it back.” I pulled out the new package of ear buds and set them next to his equipment.
Itsuma picked up the unopened accessory, then laughed like I’d told the best joke he’d ever heard. “Sensei, you sly fox.”
The sound of his mirth tickled my heart. Craptastic. Now I knew why this “prince” slipped under my skin as easy as getting under a bedspread. Intense attraction. Yep, definitely going to the bar tonight.
Itsuma wiped the amused tear under his eye and said, “I was wondering why a math teacher would have wire cutters in his pocket. You planned this from the start.”
“What? No!” Had I? “I bought the new headphones at break.” I thought the gesture would soothe any harsh words he might throw my way. “The wire cutters were just coincidence.”
Scott stopped his deliberation, folded up the lasso and sat on one of the student desk tops. Pull up a chair and some popcorn. This should be a fun show, cowboy.
“Thank you for replacing my property, but I want something for my pride,” Itsuma said.
My mouth ran off before I could think. “Great. The high and mighty emperor gets ass-hurt for being called-out for his lousy attitude.”
“Scott,” Itsuma said. Molten lava burned in The Prince’s eyes. “Close the doors.”
The cowboy stiffened and stood up. “Zuma, come-on man.”
Something about Scott’s plea heated my blood. He might have been speaking to his friend, but it was almost as if he were telling me to run.
“No,” Itsuma said. “I won’t be humiliated. I want a piece of my honor back.”
Japanese and their honor. No out for me. That was fine. Let’s go.

La Baronne is a consultant, and human relations hold few secrets for her. She knows all the facets, even the smallest, as she has spent time studying the subject. In her opinion, love and human relations are simply a science integrating a complicated mechanism from which stem a number of principles, laws, equations and rules. Like a game of poker where you test different strategies at certain moments. Here you are bluffing, there you are betting, then you are laying the cards on the table and finally, you fold. In short, the factor "luck" does not exist for La Baronne, it has been invented by those that know nothing about it.
I loved it. The Baroness just kept me in suspense from the beginning to the end. I love her story as a coach, I love her charisma, and I love her advices. I recommend it. - Swartza, Goodreads Reviewer

"When I pick up a novel by Loree Lough, I know it'll be an entertaining read, filled with characters I love and scenes I'll remember forever. The Man She Knew is exactly that...and more." - Claudia Mossman
Once upon a time, Loree sang for her supper. That space reserved in pubs for "the piano lady?" Well, that's where she sat, strumming her Yamaha in cities all over the U.S. and Canada. Now and then, she blows the dust from the old 6-string to croon a tune or two, but mostly, she writes. And with the release of the 1st book in her third series for Harlequin Heartwarming, “By Way of the Lighthouse,” she’ll have 110 books on the shelves. She feels blessed that, over the years, most of her stories have earned 4- and 5-star reviews, but what Loree is most proud of are the dozens "Readers' Choice" awards she has won, because it's the readers' opinions she cares most about!
Loree and her husband and live in a Baltimore suburb and enjoy spending time at their cozy cabin in Pennsylvania's Allegheny Mountains (where she has nearly perfected her “identify the critter tracks” skills). They have two lovely daughters and seven 'grandorables,' and because she believes in giving back, Loree donates a generous portion of her annual income to several worthwhile charities. (See the full list on the "Giving Back" page at http://www.loreelough.com.)
While you're there, Loree hopes you'll drop her a note, because she loves hearing from her readers, some of whom have become lifelong friends! (You can also interact with her at Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest.)
