When Darcelle Lebeau throws off the invisible chains that keep her bound to her family, she discovers a new vocation. Tempted to enter the illegal playground of a man she nicknames Matou, she becomes a cat burglar in training. Deeply ensnared with each task he entices her to fulfill, she fails to discover his identity and true intentions.
Sebastian St. Croix, a wealthy businessman, has a dark side. He’s a thief, a cat burglar who steals art and historical objects. For one year, he trains Darcelle to become his assistant, remaining incognito, observing her from afar. His admiration grows along with his desire for her with every phase-one challenge she completes. Phase two will test the limits of his control. Hands-on personal training? Yes. Sex? No. With his sister’s happiness at stake, nothing, not even the tempting Darcelle Lebeau, can interfere with accomplishing the biggest break-in of his career.

My Review

Such a Great Read!!!

This is such a wonderful story, the combination of sweet romance, hot passionate sex, thrilling missions and escapades, and unnerving dangers and risks. This makes it such a page turner with absolutely no dull moments at all.
I also like the way the story unfolds -- the author takes you through each phase in the story and just when you think you've got the plot all figured out, a new twist is slowly peeled off for you to digest. For example, I should have known that Darcelle's mom's appearance at the start is not just a simple cameo appearance. And what really got me in the end was when the whole story transformed into a inter-gallactic rescue mission! Simply never thought of that.
Did I just mention sweet romance and hot passionate sex earlier? I absolutely loved Darcelle's and Sebastian's chemistry together! The 'matou' and the 'minou'... made for each other.
If you're in for a romance story with all the kicks of dangers and excitement, this is definitely a book that you need to pick up! A nice afternoon read that will leave you wanting for the next book in the series!

  1. Tech Nerd,
Thanks for the awesome review of It Takes a Cat Burglar. I'm always happy when readers love my stories. (What author wouldn't be.) I bounce the potential twists off my massage therapist. She's a two-fer: gives me plot critiques and the best massages ever. I'm currently in the planning stages for the second book in the series.
